Guest sentiment
A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"We went for an early dinner in summer on a Saturday night and sat outside. The food and drinks were good, so was the service. I particularly appreciated a good selection of alcohol-free cocktails on the menu. Food-wise the gazpacho-like starter stole the show. absolutely delicious. So fresh and bursting with flavour! Although not sure it is called gazpacho on the menu. Anyways, go for the spicy cold soup as a starter and you won’t regret it. For mains I had the wild boar ragout gnocchi which was great. Lots of meat, big portion, hearty and warm. My companion had the Zander fish which was good too."
"Must eat here in Munich! It’s small and the inside is modern and rustic. Loved our waitress and the food was super delicious! The flavor profile and twist in classic Bavarian dishes was not to be missed. If you are looking for comfort food, classic but elevated, this is for you."
"This is the first ever comment I am leaving for any restaurant ever in my entire life. That being said the food, service and everything you would want in a restaurant experience was flawless and 5 stars are not sufficient to be able to describe the level of this place. A place which must be visited. (Note : had the schnitzel and carbonara, both excellent)"
"Had a great dinner here after a friend who was recently in Munich recommended it. Glad to say it was great. Very friendly service and they have an English menu as well. Planning to go there again for dinner even though I'm in town only for a few days!"
"Came here for an early dinner solo so they were able to accommodate me. Based on my observation, you should make a reservation. Service was excellent, food was great. Staff spoke English and were very polite. It ur looking for a lighter food option and a relaxed atmosphere, this is it."
"Amazing German food with great atmosphere! This restaurant is conveniently located at the heart of Munich with walking distance to many places of interest. We came here for lunch in a group of four. Although we didn’t make any reservations in advance, we were able to get seated right away. However given the limited seating, I would recommend reservations ahead of time just in case. The Pork Schnitzels were incredible. Tender pork was wrapped by a golden fried batter. The goat cheese salad was also a perfect complement to the heavy meat and drinks. The beef tartare was heavily seasoned which was a bit surprising and was not our favourite. The beers were great just like all other places in Munich so nothing else to say there. The restaurant offers both English and German menus and waiter spoke great English as well. Highly recommend this place if you are looking for some traditional German food and wanted to have a good quieter atmosphere."
"The snitchel was really good and tasty The potatoes side snitchel was also nice and tasty! Sauces also good About carbonara it was tasty but pasta it was more al dente that we want but we enjoy it too! Salad side of carbonara was alright Atmosphere good Service good And good prices too"
"Very delicious food! The Schnitzel with the potatoes were excellent, same as the carbonara and the Kaiserschmarrn. Definitely recommend this place."
